Line Cook – Upscale Hotel | FULL TIME

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Overview
Our client, an upscale hotel in the Green Bay area, is looking for line cooks to help in the restaurant operations.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and develop new dishes that reflect seasonal ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Handle food products with care, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed.
  • Assist in meal preparation for catering events as needed, showcasing culinary creativity.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while demonstrating strong knife skills.
  • Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required.
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or in other culinary roles within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent cooking skills with a focus on fine dining presentation.
  • Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a dietary department is a plus.
  • A passion for cooking and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.

 

Schedule: 5 days a week 2PM to 10PM

Pay: $18 to $21 per hour
