Job Overview
Our client, an upscale hotel in the Green Bay area, is looking for line cooks to help in the restaurant operations.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and develop new dishes that reflect seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Handle food products with care, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed.
- Assist in meal preparation for catering events as needed, showcasing culinary creativity.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while demonstrating strong knife skills.
- Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in other culinary roles within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent cooking skills with a focus on fine dining presentation.
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a dietary department is a plus.
- A passion for cooking and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
Schedule: 5 days a week 2PM to 10PM
Pay: $18 to $21 per hour
