We are currently seeking an Outside Stacker to join our team. As an Outside Stacker, you will be responsible for handling, organizing, and stacking the finished wood trusses outside, ensuring the proper storage and ease of access for further distribution or use. You may have worked previously in the construction or a wood manufacturing industry. Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: 2nd Shift ~ Monday-Thursday (3pm-1am)

Primary Responsibilities:

** Carefully stack finished wood trusses in an organized manner outdoors, following safety guidelines and company protocols.
** Ensure trusses are stored properly to avoid damage (e.g., using correct stacking techniques to prevent warping or bending).
** Maintain a neat and orderly storage area for easy retrieval.
** Assist with the movement of wood trusses from production areas to outdoor storage using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
** Ensure safe transportation practices are followed to minimize damage to trusses or injury to self or coworkers.
** Assist in tracking inventory of stacked wood trusses, ensuring all are accounted for, and may occasionally count or measure stacked materials to ensure that stock levels match what’s required for upcoming orders.
** Communicate effectively with other workers, supervisors, and warehouse staff to ensure the efficient flow of materials and proper stock management.
** Ability to work well with other team members in a fast-paced environment.

Quality Control:
** Inspect wood trusses for defects or damages before stacking.
** Report any issues with the quality of trusses or packaging to supervisors.
** Attention to detail and the ability to inspect materials for defects and handle them with care.

Safety Compliance:
** Follow all safety regulations and wear appropriate safety gear (e.g., hard hat, gloves, steel-toed boots).
** Knowledge of safety practices in industrial settings.
** Keep the work area clean, ensuring there are no hazards like debris or uneven surfaces that could cause accidents.
** The role involves physical labor, including lifting and stacking heavy materials.
** Use of industrial equipment and machinery.

Weather Conditions/Work Environment:
** Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, which may include rain, snow, or high temperatures.
** Ensure trusses are properly protected from adverse weather, using tarps or other protective coverings when necessary.

Education/Experience:
** High school diploma or GED is typically required.
** Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or warehouse work is preferred but not always required.

This job requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and teamwork, all while ensuring safe and efficient operations in the stacking of wood trusses.
